June 27, 1945; Bridgeport, Connecticut; started the study of music at 10 years of age; played trumpet, trombone, and saxophone in school bands; switched to bass last year of high school.

Education:

received a Bachelor of Arts in Music Education from Berklee College of Music; received a Master of Special Education from Hunter College; private studies with bassist Richard Davis.
